Google Panda Update – Version 4.0

 

Today, Google’s head of search spam, Matt Cutts had announced the roll out of yet another Google Panda Update called the version 4.0. The latest version is indented to be softer and milder on certain sites while offering groundwork for future changes. Thus Google Panda version 4.0 is a major update to identify the authenticity of a given site. In the words of Google, version 4.0 will have varied level of affect on various languages. For instance, English will have an impact of 7.5% of queries making it noticeable to regular users.

Ever since Google’s Panda Update has been introduced in 2011, it has been the most talked about algorithmic updates by webmasters and SEOs. The fresh update is an add on to the pre-existing gossip about Google panda and its affects. During the first two years, its updates were out almost every month but during the March 2013 update, Google had stated that its future updates will be included in the algorithm making its renewals and revisions less noticeable yet continuous. Owning to this today is the day when they have come up with a stronger version of Panda.

Google Panda was introduced to filter out all the low quality sites and return high quality ones in the top rankings of Google search. It was composed by Navneet Panda along with Vladimir Ofitserov of Google. On 28th September 2012, its patent application was filed, by when Panda was already released into the search ranking algorithm of Google.
