Google will soon rebrand their advertising platforms AdWords and DoubleClick to simplify the process. From 24th July, the Google AdWords will be renamed as Google Ads with a new logo. The total advertising system of the search giant will be based on three main pillars; Google Ads, Google Marketing Platform, and Google Ad Manager.
What Google Said:
“On July 24th, 2018, Google AdWords is becoming Google Ads. This new Google Ads brand represents the full range of campaign types available today, including Search, Display and Video.”
Google Ads will represent the full range of advertising service of the company. The product interface, billing documents and Help Center and many other things will be more user-friendly. The site URL will be changed from adwords.google.com to ads.google.com and the change will be reflected in the URL of Help Centre from support.google.com/adwords to support.google.com/google-ads.
If you have any campaign running in AdWords, the change will not impact the ‘performance, navigation, or reporting’.
Sridhar Ramaswamy, the senior VP of ads and commerce of Google said;
“These new brands reflect all of the ways that we help advertisers connect with consumers and make it easier for advertisers and publishers to choose which products are right for their businesses.”
